Events
Whether it be your
annual dinner dance, a special birthday, a family celebration or a 60's
or 70's theme night, we have played them all!
The most unusual:
The Ptarmigan
Restaurant, situated at 1097 metres (3,600 feet) above sea level, is
the highest restaurant in Scotland, nestling just under the summit of
Cairn Gorm near Aviemore.
Caravan had the exclusive use of the funicular railway to carry the band
and all the equipment to the top to play at a wedding in this unique
venue.
Others:
Over the years we have played at many of the well known hotels in
Scotland, at weddings, party nights, corporate events and dinner dances.
We have played at many major venues, ranging from corn exchanges to
hotels, golf clubs, bowling clubs, etc in the borders - in Kelso,
Coldingham, Duns, Jedburgh, Hawick, Galashiels, Selkirk, Peebles, St
Boswalls.
Gigs on the west coast
have taken us to Oban, Glasgow, Prestwick, Ayr, Saltcoats, Moffat,
Kilwinning and into the north of England. Similarly we have appeared in
many central Scotland venues, and on the east coast from Eyemouth to
Anstruther, Dundee and Aberdeen, Perth to Inverness and as far as the
Black Isle.
For twelve years we
played at a major hotel in Princes St, Edinburgh for the New Year
celebrations, and now play at a different five star hotel each year on
Hogmanay.
