Liz has been singing and playing piano since she was five years old, performing on the stage of His Majesty's Theatre in Aberdeen with a choir.

Since then she has not stopped singing, playing leads in school productions, entertaining in a choir, a folk singing duo Liz and Diane, taking part in opera and rock workshops and in the Caledonian Choir and Gilbert and Sullivan Society when she moved to the Dunfermline area.

Liz has sung in many parts of the world, and on cruise ships. She was a founder member of the folk group Heirloom which, with Gavin and two others, subsequently evolved to become Caravan. Their huge repertoire includes some songs written by Liz and Gavin.

Liz is also the musical arranger for the band and handles the bookings.
